EMMA WATSON CONFIRMS ‘THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER’ ROLE

In her newly released message Emma Watson has confirmed she’s joined the cast of The Perks of Being A Wallflower and will begin shooting her scenes this summer.
Hi all, just wanted to tell you that for once a story in the papers is true! I’m filming Perks Of Being a Wallflower this summer. Can’t wait!” Emma wrote.
For The Perks Emma Watson is teaming up with young Percy Jackson star Logan Lerman who’s set to play Charlie, a 15-year-old boy who struggles with his sexuality and family abuse. According to reports, Emma will play his first love. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is based on the novel of the same name written by Stephen Chbosky and published by MTV in 1999. The book centers on the letters Charlie writes to an anonymous person, whom he does not know personally. In his letters he writes about homosexuality, teenage sexuality, drug use, and the awkward times of adolescence. (FYI, the book is in the list of top 10 most inappropriate books for kids, according to American Library Association.)
The book’s author Stephen Chbosky has been working on the movie adaptation since 2005. His screenplay is likely to contain sex and drug use scenes, sources add.

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower becomes Emma Watson’s third movie apart from the Harry Potter franchise, and her first movie after the end of the wizard drama.
Emma’s also said to be cast to star in Incarceron alongside Twilight‘s Taylor Lautner.
