Christina Aguilera and Record Label Sued for Stealing Song
Christina Aguilera is backwards in the headlines. This instance around it’s for her 2006 hit azygos “Ain’t No Other Man”, which borrows a distribution from a 43-year-old strain — a distribution which a newborn causa claims Sony Music hasn’t paying the rightful someone for.
Christina’s strain samples from a 1968 dweller set entitled “Hippy Skippy Moon Strut” (aka “I’ll Be a Lucky Man”) by Dave Cortez and the Moon People. (Yes that’s their authorised name). According to the federal lawsuit, which was filed in New York, TufAmerica purchased the exclusive rights to “Hippy Skippy” in 2004, still Christina’s label, Sony Music, inked a care with Codigo Music and the Clyde discoverer Music Group to ingest the song.
TufAmerica is asking the suite to tell it the rightful someone of the soulful ’60s hit, and to vacuum the another publishers’ claims on the song. The company is also hunt monetary damages.
